Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Southeast Farallon Island State Marine Conservation Area (California).

Offshore SMCA surrounding the Southeast Farallon Island State Marine Reserve, 44 km west of San Francisco (12.95 sq mi). The only permitted take is salmon — recreationally by trolling, commercially by troll fishing gear. Spearfishing is not authorised, and 14 CCR §28.90 excludes salmon from spearfishing statewide.
