How spearfishing is treated at Red Hind Spawning Aggregation Area East of St. Croix (Lang Bank).

Federal spawning-aggregation closure in the EEZ east of St. Croix (the Lang Bank red hind aggregation). From December 1 through the last day of February each year all fishing (including recreational spearfishing) is prohibited to protect the red hind spawning aggregation. Fishing with pots, traps, bottom longlines, gillnets or trammel nets is prohibited year-round. Boundary defined by six coordinate points in 50 CFR 622.479.
