Modi islet underwater archaeological site (Poros / Troizinia)

The waters around the islet of Modi, north-east of Poros, out to the 30 m isobath are a declared underwater archaeological site / underwater historic place (ΦΕΚ 886 Β΄/1997) — the site of a Mycenaean-era wreck and a well-known dive spot. Spearfishing, scuba diving, towed-gear fishing, mechanical shellfish harvesting and sponge fishing are all prohibited there.
