Ormiskos Mavromantilou (Trinisa, Laconia) underwater archaeological site

Spearfishing is prohibited along the shoreline of the small cove «Μαυρομαντηλού» in the Trinisa area of Laconia, declared an archaeological site to protect late-Roman building remains sunk on its bottom. Basis: ΥΑ (ministerial decision, signed by the Minister of Culture alone) ΥΠΠΟ/ΑΡΧ/Α1/Φ43/14433/826 of 26 June 1997 (ΦΕΚ 614 Β΄/1997), listed on the Gytheio Port Authority's current prohibition register. The 1997 decision itself locates the cove precisely — «στον ορμίσκο στη θέση «Μαυρομαντηλού» περιοχής Τρίνησας Λακωνίας» — and the 1999 declaration of the wider area (ΦΕΚ 1607 Β΄/1999) confirms that the three islets called Trinisa lie directly opposite this cove.
