Saronikos Port Authority coastal zone (Kifisos river mouth → 44th km Athens–Sounio road) — year-round spearfishing ban

Spearfishing (υποβρύχια αλιεία) is prohibited all year round along the ENTIRE coastal strip of the Saronikos Port Authority's jurisdiction — roughly 35 km of the Athens Riviera, from the eastern edge of the Kifisos river mouth (Palaio Faliro) in the north to the 44th kilometre of the Athens–Sounio road (Anavyssos area) in the south, taking in Alimos, Glyfada, Voula, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza, Lagonisi and Saronida. Decision no. 2141.1-1/3516/2016 of the Saronikos Port Authority (4 October 2016, ΑΔΑ Ψ0ΣΜ4653ΠΩ-ΓΕΝ), issued under ΓΚΛ Σαρωνικού art. 87 §5 and Ν.Δ. 187/73 art. 157; it carries no expiry date and is still listed on the Hellenic Coast Guard's current prohibition register.
