Tsamour Limani and the sea area of ancient Antissa (Lesvos)

Spearfishing is prohibited all year round at Tsamour Limani and in the sea area of ancient Antissa, on the north-west coast of Lesvos — item 2 on the Central Port Authority of Mytilene's current prohibition register, which bans towed gear, mechanised shellfish harvesting, sponge fishing and the speargun at ten named declared underwater archaeological sites under art. Α§2(δ) of KYA ΥΠΠΟ/ΓΔΑΠΚ/ΑΡΧ/Α1/Φ41/11228/1865 (ΦΕΚ 336 Β΄/2004). NO MAP PIN: the bay name «Τσαμούρ Λιμάνι» appears in no official coordinate list or public gazetteer, and the declaration is delimited on an attached map sheet only. Ask the Mytilene Port Authority before diving anywhere between Gavathas and Cape Fanari.
