Ce qu'est cette zone
Aperçu
Comment la chasse sous-marine est traitée à South Australian historic shipwreck protected zone, Rosetta Harbour (South Australia).
A 30-metre-radius protected zone over the wreck of the barque South Australian, one of the sixteen vessels that carried free settlers out to found the colony in 1836. She parted her cables in a south-easterly gale on 8 December 1837 while anchored at Rosetta Harbour, crossed Black Reef and struck the inshore reef near where the Yilki Store now stands, close to Victor Harbor. The wreck was relocated in April 2018 and the Minister then declared a protected zone over it under section 7(1) of the Historic Shipwrecks Act 1981 (SA). Regulation 5(1)(d) of the Historic Shipwrecks Regulations 2017 (SA) makes it an offence to "trawl, dive or engage in any other underwater activity within a protected zone" without a ministerial permit (maximum penalty $10 000, expiation fee $750), and regulation 5(1)(e) bans mooring or using a vessel there. Unlike the Zanoni zone, the Department for Environment and Water states that entry to this one is "strictly prohibited" rather than permit-available, so spearfishing inside the 30-metre circle is an offence outright. The zone is small but it sits directly on a shallow inshore reef that shore divers at Yilki would otherwise swim over.
