Federal integral-protection natural monument (Decreto 9.312/2018) covering the Trindade/Martim Vaz islands and Monte Columbia seamount, ~1,140 km off Espírito Santo; classified 'Grupo Proteção Integral' — fishing is restricted to authorized research/management inside the monument, unlike the surrounding Área de Proteção Ambiental (buffer) which permits regulated/authorized fishing (e.g. swordfish).
