The southern of the two zone A (riserva integrale) of the Torre Guaceto marine protected area, off the Apani end of the reserve, established by the interministerial decree of 4 December 1991. All professional and sport fishing by any means is banned inside it, together with access and navigation; spearfishing is separately banned across the entire reserve by art. 4, letter c).
