Marine sector of Kirindy Mite (Kirindy Mitea) National Park on the south-west coast in the Mozambique Channel, south of Belo sur Mer. Following the extension ratified on 21 April 2015 by Décret n° 2015-735 the park covers 156,350 ha, of which 27,910 ha are marine — coral reefs, mangroves and offshore islets, part of the Mozambique Channel marine ecoregion. As a Parc National under COAP (Loi 2015-005), hunting and the capture of animals are prohibited over the entire extent of the park (Art. 14), sustainable-use rights do not apply over the whole extent of a Parc National (Art. 39), and chasse sous-marine (spearfishing) without the conforming opinion of the manager and the Ministry is an offence (Art. 55 §21). Spearfishing is not permitted in the park's marine sector. Coordinate is a point in the largest detached offshore block of the park.

Sport/recreational fishing must be covered by a fishing protocol with the Ministry in charge of Fisheries, and the vessel/boat used must hold a fishing licence (Loi 2015-053 Art. 41-42); conditions set by regulation. In practice, operators/divers obtain a spearfishing permit from the local Fisheries office (often arranged by charter operators).
