John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park (Key Largo, Florida)

The first undersea park in the United States (Key Largo); its waters are under the jurisdiction of the Florida DEP Division of Recreation and Parks, where spearfishing and possession of loaded/unstowed spearing equipment are prohibited by Fla. Admin. Code r. 68B-20.003(2)(e). The park also lies inside the Upper Keys no-spearfishing zone (Monroe County north of Long Key). Hook-and-line fishing remains allowed under state rules.
