Point Resistance Rock Special Closure (California)

Year-round no-entry closure around Point Resistance Rock, a seabird nesting stack on the Point Reyes National Seashore coast (Marin County) and California's smallest special closure at 0.015 sq mi. 14 CCR 632(b)(48) designates the water from the mean high tide line to 300 feet seaward of mean lower low tide, and subsection (B) provides that no person may enter this area at any time other than listed agency staff on duty or with department permission. CDFW states plainly that "Boating and access are restricted" here; entry by a swimmer or diver is prohibited, so no spearfishing.
