Ormos Salantiou (Karterou), Didyma (Argolida) — underwater archaeological site

Spearfishing is prohibited all year round in Ormos Salantiou, also called Karterou, on the coast of Didyma in Argolida — a declared underwater archaeological site. Towed gear, sponge fishing and mechanised shellfish harvesting without a Ministry of Culture permit are banned there as well. Basis: KYA ΥΠΠΟ/ΓΔΑΠΚ/ΑΡΧ/Α1/Φ41/11228/1865 (ΦΕΚ 336 Β΄/2004), art. Α§2(δ), as listed on the Nafplio Port Authority's current prohibition register. NO MAP PIN: the site has no published coordinate list and the bay name does not resolve unambiguously in any public gazetteer; Didyma lies on the eastern Argolid coast between Kranidi and Iria.
