Sigri underwater archaeological site (Lesvos)

The sea area of Sigri, Municipality of Western Lesvos, was declared an underwater archaeological site by ministerial decision ΥΠΠΟ/ΓΔΑΠΚ/ΑΡΧ/Α1/Φ43/21652/1487 (ΦΕΚ 1769 Β΄/2003) to protect the underwater antiquities and the waters around the medieval fort. It is site 10 on the Mytilene Port Authority's list; spearfishing is prohibited there year-round under KYA ΦΕΚ 336 Β΄/2004 art. Α§2(δ).
