Port Davey / Bathurst Harbour Marine Nature Reserve no-fishing zone, Tasmania

The no-take zone of the Port Davey / Bathurst Harbour Marine Nature Reserve in Tasmania's remote south-west: east of a line between North Head and Hilliard Head, taking in the Davey Estuary, James Kelly Basin, Saddle Bight, Bathurst Channel and Bathurst Harbour. No fishing or setting of fishing gear — spearfishing included — is allowed. These are the tannin-dark waters that hold deep-water emergent species in only a few metres.
