Under Art. 28 of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Code, national parks are excluded even from the exceptional fish-gathering authorisations allowed in other protected areas, i.e. fishing is not permitted. UNESCO records list illegal fishing among the threats to the park, confirming that fishing there is unauthorised.
