Piraeus coast (Piraiki peninsula to the Kifisos river mouth) — spearfishing ban

Spearfishing (υποβρύχια αλιεία) is prohibited along the Piraeus coastline from the Piraiki peninsula to the eastern edge of the Kifisos river mouth — the whole open shore of Piraeus and the western part of Faliro bay — under decision no. 86/1971 (ΦΕΚ 86 Β΄/1971) read with π.δ. 81/2014, as listed on the Piraeus Central Port Authority's current prohibition register. This stretch abuts the Saronikos Port Authority ban that starts at the same Kifisos river mouth, so between them spearfishing is illegal along the whole Athens coastline from Piraiki south to the 44th km of the Athens–Sounio road.
