Posebni rezervat u moru Ušće Neretve (Neretva mouth special ichthyological reserve)

The special marine reserve at the mouth of the Neretva (≈776 ha), carried in the Ministry of Agriculture protected-areas register as a »posebni rezervat u moru« and treated by Pravilnik NN 125/2020 as a posebni ihtiološki rezervat: čl. 14(2) point 12 and čl. 20(1) both carve it out of the surrounding Neretva posebno stanište and Neretvanski kanal »as shown on the map referred to in čl. 24«. Under čl. 2(3) commercial, small-scale coastal, sport AND recreational fishing are all prohibited in sea areas protected in the category of special ichthyological reserve, so spearfishing is prohibited outright — this is the strictest regime in the delta, and it is stricter than the surrounding Neretvanski kanal, where the speargun is expressly permitted in sport fishing.
