Colvos Passage Marine Preserve (Puget Sound, Washington)

A small closure on the west (Kitsap Peninsula) shore of Colvos Passage, about 300 feet by 500 feet, defined by WAC 220-302-030. WAC 220-305-080(2)(b) closes it to all commercial harvest of fish and to recreational harvest of fish except salmon taken by trolling. A speargun is not trolling gear, and WAC 220-310-130 permits underwater spearfishing for saltwater food fish "except salmon and sturgeon", so no fish may lawfully be speared inside the preserve.
