Double Point / Stormy Stack Rock Special Closure (California)

Year-round no-entry closure around Stormy Stack Rock at Double Point, south of Point Reyes (Marin County). 14 CCR 632(b)(49) designates the band from the mean high tide line to 300 feet seaward of mean lower low tide around the rock, and subsection (B) bars any person from entering the area at any time without department permission or listed on-duty agency status. Because it is an entry prohibition rather than a take rule, it applies to a spearfisher swimming in the band as much as to a boat.
