Steamboat Rock Special Closure (California) - closed 1 March to 31 August

Seasonal no-entry closure at Steamboat Rock on the Lost Coast south of Cape Mendocino (Humboldt County). Unlike its neighbour Sugarloaf Island, this closure runs only from 1 March to 31 August: during that period 14 CCR 632(b)(12) shuts the band from the mean high tide line to 300 feet seaward of mean lower low tide to vessels, and subsection (C) forbids any person from entering it without department permission, so spearfishing inside the band is unlawful in those months.
